Christine began her career at Stewart Wrightson as a broker in 1978 and moved to underwriting, joining the Posgate and Denby Syndicate in 1980, becoming one of the first female underwriters in the 300-year history of Lloyd’s. Christine was one of the founding members of Atrium Underwriting in 1984, the active underwriter of Syndicate 609 between 1997 to 2007, served on numerous market committees and was a member of the Council of Lloyd’s from 2004 to 2007. Since then, Christine has held many non-executive directorships in the insurance sector and is currently a director of Managing Agency Partners Limited.

Charles founded DA Strategy in 2015 and has more than 25 years of delegated authority experience, having been Head of Delegated Authority at Catlin (now AXA XL). He led the team and grew the delegated authority portfolio from GPW USD80m to USD1.1bn, expanding the coverholder client base alongside underwriters from 120 to over 800. He chaired the LMA Delegated Authority Operations Committee, leading the market initiative which developed the vision and key priorities for the LMG Delegated Authority TOM (now part of Lloyd’s Blueprint 2). He has presented at Lloyd’s and the MGAA numerous times including at the Lloyd’s CEO Strategy evening, on coverholder data standards, product governance roadshows and the ITC London Panel.

Crispin joined HIVE Underwriters Ltd. in July 2023
Crispin has over two decades of experience in various industries from fresh produce to finance where He has held senior roles in commercial, operational and project management capacities. His expertise lies in developing and optimising processes to enhance internal efficiencies and reduce costs, a skill he has applied to multiple SMEs.
Crispin’s knowledge extends to the set up and support of Managing General Agents, as well as the management and supervision of delegated authority programmes. He has played a pivotal role in implementing delegated authority procedures across the market and overseen extensive audit programmes on behalf of Lloyd’s Managing Agents. Crispin has been a director of HIVE Underwriters Ltd. since the formation of the company.

Bruce founded HIVE Underwriters Ltd. in November 2017
Prior to founding HIVE, Bruce was a Lloyd’s underwriter for 30 years specialising in Aviation War. He pioneered the use of third-party intelligence threat assessments, together with exposure modelling both forming the backbone of HIVE’s “knowledge-led underwriting” philosophy.
Bruce is a Expert Insurance Advisor to NATO’s Transport Group Civil Aviation (TGCA), assisting the allied forces insure assets in conflict areas.
He sits on the Executive Committee of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI) and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute having served as a member of Council for the Insurance Institute of London (IIL).

Will joined HIVE Underwriters Ltd. in July 2018
Prior to joining HIVE, Will worked at Talbot Underwriting where he was Class Underwriter for the General Aviation book. He began his insurance career at XL in 2006.
Will has specialised in Aviation Insurance for over 17 years and has a detailed knowledge of the Aviation Insurance sector. Will gained his ACII qualification in 2008 and became Chartered in 2010.

Andrew joined HIVE Underwriters Ltd. In October 2020
Andrew has a 20 year history in the Aviation Insurance market and prior to joining HIVE he held the position of Senior Underwriter at MS Amlin. Andrew began his insurance career at Wellington Underwriting before progressing to positions at Catlin Underwriting and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.
Andrew has cross-class experience and has specialised in the Aerospace sector, being elected to the Manufacturers, Products and Airports study group of the International Union of Aviation Insurers in 2018. He became ACII qualified in 2006 and was accredited as a Chartered in 2010.

Co-Head of Global Broking, Markets and Business Development. A highly skilled market practitioner, Jason has more than 30 years of industry experience specialising in medical malpractice, E&O and all other associated management liability classes. Proud to be a Lloyd’s broker, Jason began his career in 1989 at a London broking firm where he went on to hold key leadership roles. He has a strong focus on developing long-standing client relationships and championing the importance of technical broking skills. Jason joined Tysers in 2009 as part of the Arch Intermediaries acquisition which he co-founded in 2001.

Bruce founded HIVE Underwriters Ltd. in November 2017
Prior to forming HIVE, Bruce was a partner and underwriter with Cathedral Underwriting having joined from Atrium Underwriting in October 2014, where he worked for 27 years.
Bruce has specialised in Aviation War for more than 30 years and pioneered the use of third party intelligence sources for threat assessment with a “knowledge-led underwriting” philosophy. He was the first underwriter to develop a ground accumulation model to monitor aircraft exposures at key airports and worked closely with Lloyd’s on their Market Insight Publication “Aviation War, Ground Exposure Management” in Dec 2016.
As a recognised leader in the class he is a regular speaker at aviation conferences as well as contributor to various aviation publications, including writing the Aviation Chapter for the Insurance Institute of London (IIL), “War Risks and Terrorism, Research Study Book”.
He formed part of the Aviation Insurance Clauses Group (AICG) when first created in 2005 and was the driving force in developing the current Hull War wording (LSW555D). He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Underwriting Agent and served as a member of Council for the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) from 2009-2012, together with the London Insurance Institute Aviation Lectures Committee from 2004-2012.
Bruce is a member of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI) Executive Committee, having served on the Airline Study Group since 2004, he was Deputy Chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) Aviation Hull War Forum 2014 - 2017 and International Director for the Aviation Insurance Association (AIA) 2014 - 2019.
