Ultimately, a greater understanding and awareness of the risks and threats the global aviation industry faces, enables the HIVE team to share risk mitigating solutions with clients.
Internally, HIVE continues to focus on creating bespoke tools to enable our underwriters to handle business efficiently and knowledgeably. HIVE is actively engaging with developing technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), as complementary tools to the experience, knowledge and personal relationships of our teams. Continuing to expand, we are constantly enhancing our analytics capability to better service our carriers, insureds and colleagues within the broking community.

HIVE Aero established by Bruce Carman.
December 2017
HIVE gains approval as a Coverholder at Lloyd’s.
April 2018
HIVE begins underwriting Aviation Hull War.
April 2019
HIVE enters the Excess Third-Party Aviation War Liabilities (XS AVN52) market.
October 2020
HIVE enters the Aviation Hull and Liabilities (All Risks) market.
June 2021
HIVE’s commitment to professional and ethical standards is recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as it achieves Chartered Status.
July 2021
HIVE Aero changes name to HIVE Underwriters.
April 2023
HIVE enters General Aviation market.
